Beau Vigne 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Romeo

         Less than 600 cases were made of this Napa cab of dark purple, almost black in color, dense, forward and bold. Flavors and aromas of blackberry, cherry, tobacco, vanilla, chocolate and smoky oak notes are well defined and vivid. Spices and anise tones come with firm tannins and a mineral quality. The wine is about 15% Merlot, drinks well now, but I would to taste again in 3 to 5 years. Very limited $63.99

This is a sparkling wine from my favorite producer in Vouvray, it is 100% Chenin Blanc, it is dry, and it is totally delightful. Fresh, clean and lively, not so much of that yeastiness of Champagne.
