Chateau D'Aiguilhe 2008 Cotes de Castillon Bordeaux

80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet blend that is medium bodied and a fairly easy drink. While this wine is not terribly complex, it does offer good fruit and nice balance. Notes of plum, black cherry, anise and earth are well intergrated with a softly tannin finish. A good bottle for younger drinking, say the next 3 - 5 years. $39.99

The blend is made of 40% Syrah, 27% Grenache, 14% Mourvedre', with small amounts of Counoise, and Cinsault . The wine is dark ruby red in color, with aromas of raspberry, plum, smoke and leather.
