Brewer-Clifton 2009 Gnesa Chardonnay

Yet another beautiful wine from Brewer-Clifton in Santa Rita Hills. The 2009 Gnesa (pronounced Knee - sa) is very complex with aromas of lime zest, mint, netarine, and mineral notes. On th palate we get apricot, crisp apple, and lemon curd flavors. This is not a big oaky and buttery style, fans of the more restrained California Chardonnays will love this one. 92 pts. Robert Parker, Jr.
